The Kromski Standard Flyer is the standard spinning unit for Kromski spinning wheels and covers the most-used yarn weight range from fingering to worsted weight. The flyer rotates around the bobbin and distributes the freshly spun yarn evenly through its hooks onto the bobbin. It is the central spinning component of every spinning wheel.
The All-Rounder Among Flyers
With the standard flyer, the most common yarn weights from fine sock yarn to medium-weight weaving yarn can be spun. It offers a balanced selection of hook positions for even yarn distribution and works with all standard bobbins of the respective model. For very fine yarns a fast flyer is recommended, for very thick yarns a jumbo flyer.
Frequently Asked Questions
When do I need a replacement flyer? With a broken flyer arm, worn bearings or after the spinning wheel has fallen. Also useful as a second flyer for faster yarn changes.
Are bobbins included? No, the standard flyer is delivered without bobbins. Bobbins can be purchased separately.
