Louet Drum Carder
Louet's hand drum carders prepare wool and fibres for spinning: carding opens and cleans the fibres, and mixing of colours and fibre types is also possible. Louet offers three models that differ in drum size and throughput.
The frames are made from water-resistant birch plywood with a white HPL surface. Carding cloth consists of nickel-plated steel wire on a bed of cotton and natural rubber. The closed gear system keeps fibres out and reduces maintenance.
