Louet hand carders: comfortable to hold, built to last
The Louet hand carders are made from European linden wood with a curved back and ergonomic handles. They sit comfortably in your hands even during longer carding sessions. The galvanised steel teeth grip firmly and last a long time. Sold as a pair.
Hand carders open and parallelise wool, alpaca and other spinning fibres in preparation for the spinning wheel or hand spindle. You can also use them to blend colours or make airy batts. Which cloth to choose: 46 tpi for coarser wool, 72 tpi as an all-rounder, 110 tpi for merino, alpaca and cashmere.
