Kromski Spinning Wheels

Kromski is a family business from Poland that builds spinning wheels from alder and birch. Here you find every Kromski wheel we stock, from the compact Fantasia to the large Polonaise, plus bobbins, flyers, whorls and spare parts.

Which Kromski spinning wheel is right for you?

All Kromski wheels are solidly made and easy to upgrade. The main differences are size, treadle and drive:

  • Fantasia (from €479): modern wheel with a round drive wheel, four ratios from 5:1 to 16:1 and a magnetic flyer. Our most frequent tip for beginners.
  • Prelude (from €489): a small Saxony style wheel, 45 cm wheel, about 4 kg, single treadle.
  • Interlude (from €599): a simple single treadle wheel with a 46 cm wheel, good for small rooms.
  • Minstrel (from €679): upright castle wheel with double treadle and a small footprint.
  • Sonata Encore (from €799): the travel wheel. Folds without tools, 50 cm wheel, double treadle, bag included.
  • Symphony (from €799): classic Saxony wheel with a 60 cm wheel and double treadle.
  • Polonaise (from €919): the largest Kromski wheel, 60 cm drive wheel, inspired by historic wheels from the Baltic region.

Our advice from customer conversations

If you are just starting out, the Fantasia is a great choice: straightforward, easy to maintain and fairly priced. The Sonata Encore is mainly for people who travel, go to classes or are short on space. We rarely recommend it as a first wheel. Not sure yet? Have a look at Which spinning wheel is right for me?

Kromski accessories and spare parts

For almost every model we stock bobbins and jumbo bobbins, standard, fast and jumbo flyers, whorls, brake bands and drive bands. For the Fantasia there is also the jumbo orifice kit. Lazy kates, a niddy noddy and the spinning stool complete the range.

Kromski FAQ

Where are Kromski spinning wheels made?

In Poland. Kromski is a family business that designs and builds its own wheels.

Which Kromski wheel is best for beginners?

The Fantasia, Prelude and Interlude are all good first wheels. We recommend the Fantasia most often because it has many ratios and is easy to upgrade.

Can I get spare parts for my Kromski wheel?

Yes. We stock bobbins, flyers, whorls, brake bands and drive bands for the common models. If you cannot find a part, just send us a message.

Single or double treadle?

With a double treadle both feet work, which is more comfortable for long spinning sessions. A single treadle is simpler and is all many spinners need. Prelude, Interlude and Polonaise have a single treadle, Minstrel, Sonata Encore and Symphony a double treadle.
